another wing question, as some on this board seem to have a vast amount of knowledge of the type,
I have visited the MAM a few times, in particular to observe the work they were doing on the wing in the vertical stands, now I do not know how complex the spar is in regards to washout and taper, but the wing itself does not look to be too much of a daunting structure, so with a new build wing, and Mr Powell` fuse, is not a new Mosquito a realistic proposition?
As far as structure goes, it must be far more realistic than say a new build Spitfire or FW 190
sure it`s big, but it`s wood.
Although systems, castings and fittings may more than make up the difference in complexity.
any opinions?
starting from scratch, which wing is easier to build, Spitfire or Mosquito?
as well utilizing modern glues and perhaps techniques, could not the wing be built in a simpler fashion, thousands of screws not required, or the sandwich construction.
