Without actually knowing that the wing in the photos are the property of Flygvapenmuseum (though it is an educated guess) what I know is that the museum is trying to ship the parts to Sweden to continue the restoration of their aircraft. Money has been gathered in a foundation to secure the means of transporting the parts to Sweden from USA (some parts have already found their way) and then to continue the restoration. I would believe that Flygvapenmuseum (again without having any knowledge - it's only my speculation) would be interested in securing as good material as possible to make a restoration, without any thought about what could be used in any other project or the needs of them even though they might be possible flyers. I think that is the sensible thing of Flygvapenmuseum to do, bearing in mind their task alloted to them by the Swedish government.

Why not use new material in the TFC rebuild from start, so you don't have to respar the aircraft in a couple of years, and then preserved the original wood in the Swedish Mosquito. I'm afraid that quite often original wood/material is replaced and then discared during many restorations (rightfully because of the stringent safety requirments).

Still we don't know if the wings may be just was put outside for a reshuffle in the hangars, do we?
