"One Southern California aircraft collector became so intrigued by the Allen collection that he started a Web site about it last year"..

OK.. What web site is this one??

"One former Allen employee, who declined to be identified, says the secrecy is troubling both to the aviation community and within the Allen organization.

"That's the joke of it," he said, explaining that the existence of the collection is widely known and the individual airplanes are widely identified and discussed.

"I tried to convince him all this secrecy was ridiculous," he said. "Personally, I think Paul has been misdirected. He has all these airplanes and has never flown in any of them."

True.. I think we all know who is controlling this.....

Don't people realise the more you try and keep stuff secret the more it interests people and not just in this group.. (how many "Vintage plane collection kept under wraps " press stories would there be about his collection if he opened the doors!!) and the more damage done in long run..

"Billionaire's Aircraft Collection" - No Story
"Billionaire's SECRET Aircraft Collection" - Story!!

Also " A trip there brought a glimpse through a briefly opened door of a restored, camouflaged World War II Russian fighter but no response from Thomas. Efforts to reach him were unsuccessful"

Any specualtion on what that might be.. Yak reproduction? Original?
