I thought they'd been reprieved?
They are normally based at Sproat Lake on Vancouver Island (? - I've mislaid me Atlas!) so hoping they are still there and raring to go. I'd love to see them fly, one was supposed to have been in California when I was there several years ago, but the only fire bombers I saw were Neptunes and Trackers.
I suppose that after last year's tragedies all verteran aircraft will be under suspicion... :-(
