It all depends who you talk to. Some CAA people are more interested in spam cans than the rather more heavier metal, but on their side, like Tony says some are genuinely interested and want to do as much as possible to keep warbirds in the skies of the UK. We had a some bloke come in the hangar the other week commenting on what a lovely spitfire we had (Tempest Mk5 to anyone else) I really despair sometimes, the recognition levels are dropping hideously (I bet he could've told me what model Cesspits were buzzing around outside though).
