Last year it was sitting in a permanent looking aircraft carrier deck display. Didn't look like it would see sunlight for a long time to come...

: Let me clairify my point,
: I give my Time AND Money to Several different avaition gro
: ups that support local EAA events. I've been a member of E
: AA since I turned 18 (14 years ago)and I have attended the
: Convention every year since I was 8 years old, other than
: the year I was 'being all I could be' for Uncle Sam. Incl
: uding 3 years that I worked at the show for a Museum that
: brought several aircraft to OSH. Overall I think the EAA i
: s a great thing. I just think they have sort of turned th
: eir back on the most popular attraction at the convention,
: Warbirds.
: They are very seldomly featured in Sport Aviaition and if
: you go back and read some of the posts that were posted by
: Warbird Pilots that participated in EAA Airventure you wi
: ll find they are getting tired of the neglect and rising c
: osts as well....
: I find it a little hypocrittical that an orginisation that
: 's motto is Keep 'em Flying has grounded many of the non-r
: evenue generating aircraft. (Duck,P-38,P-51D,XP-51) and s
: old an airworthy A-26 and C-47 that were DONATED to them.
: How much longer until the Corsair and Mitchell are collec
: ting dust in the Eagle Hanger with them as well.
: If the day comes that the only warbirds at Airventure are
: in the Eagle Hanger, I'll be saving my $$ and heading to M
: idland.
: My 2 cents...
