Hi all,
Just got back from a great day on the IJsselmeer. We were invited by the Dutch Navy to participate in the first expedition to the site where DV286 lies. The whole day was spent trying to determine how the wreckage is lying in the thick layer of mud. At the end of the day an almost complete starboard aileron spar was lifted out with the remnants of the fabric covering still in good condition. Also a large part of the starboard wing was located. If all goes as planned the major recovery will take place during week 14/15.
Stay tuned
Cheers
Cees (weary but happy)
