I visited Frejus Aeronavale base to look over the fence - oh, some 40 yrs ago!
It's near-coastal, so the Corsairs may have been swept into the Mediterranean. I had my camera with me and was able to get a picture of (from memory) an Avenger standing near the fence. There were a couple of large wrecks, probably Lancaster(s) and/or a York some distance inside the base. I photographed those also, but, in those pre-telephoto lens days, the phots were disappointing! I've still got the photos (35 mm slides) somewhere and will dig them out sometime.
