OK - What was in Lough Neagh and what might still be there!

I contacted Ernie Cromie of UAS and he replied with the following "I know of 13 aircraft that were written off as a consequence of flying or crashing into Lough Neagh (over the period 1920 to the present) and I'm reasonably confident that is more or less the total. They comprise 11 different types - Beaufort, Blenheim, Bristol Fighter, Coronado, Halifax, Horsley, Hurricane, Scout (helicopter), Sunderland, Tiger Moth and Wellington. I'm also reasonably confident that all of them were substantially recovered - with two exceptions, the Horsley and the Bristol Fighter. I do not know the locations for either of the two."

Though Ernie did not say so, the Horsley was J8619 which struck a fishing boat and crashed in Lough Neagh on 18.5.1931 while with 504 Sqn.
