I have had an email back..
He guy says "The Shark that was found in RCAF Serial 506 and was documented as having gone down in this area. These planes had engine troubles right from day one. New engines after one flight would show particles of metal in the oil. They were famous for siezing up in flight at any time. This made for exciting times trying to find a place to land"
It crashed on Oct. 7 1938.
BTW this makes it one of 7 Mk II's (serials 501 to 507) or 2 Mk III's (524 and 525) supplied to Canada from the UK. So is UK built if FAAM were interested!
