I'd like a shot at being deployed with VF-17 "The Jolly Rogers" during their land-based operations in the Solomons from late '43 through the spring of '44. The better part of my airborne imagination dwells in the skies over that stretch of South Pacific islands. As part of the deal I'd have to have an airplane that worked all the time ;)
