Got this from Derek A. Macphail this morning..

I dunno, you wait 5 years for a new book listing Warbirds around the Globe and 2 come along at once! Just like London Buses

WARBIRDS DIRECTORY
4th Edition
Update 3 February 2003
The 4th Edition of Geoff Goodall?s renowned Warbirds Directory is currently at the printers
with completion scheduled for mid February 2003.
Users of previous editions of the Directory will be familiar with the easy to read format that
has been continued with the 4th Edition. Newcomers will find the text and photographs easy
on the eye. We cover civil owned ex military aircraft plus survivors of WW2 era types in
museums and collections around the world.
Over the years the Directory has grown and grown in physical size with each edition.
60 additional aircraft types are included in this 4th Edition over the previous book, including
many ex military jets. This has required a rethink as to how this information should be
presented without producing an extremely heavy book with an extremely heavy price tag.
The decision was made to produce this edition of the Directory as a high-quality book
containing the most popular warbird types plus a CD ROM containing all the warbird types
compiled, over 280 different aircraft types.
Consequently the Warbirds Directory will be available in 3 different ways as follows:
Option 1. The Warbirds Directory book of 352 pages of A5 text (no advertisements!)
together with 16 pages of colour photographs.
Option 2. The Warbirds Directory CD ROM listing over 280 different aircraft types
including all those listed in the book. The CD ROM has full search capability
and is compatible with both Macintosh and Windows systems.
Option 3. The Warbirds Directory book and CD ROM together at a special package
price.
All of the above options will be sold at a standard price to everybody and each option has
benefits depending on your particular interests.
The book provides easy off the shelf access to the popular warbirds but does NOT include
North American T-6s which would be a book in itself!
The CD ROM allows you to research a particular aircraft type or search for a specific aircraft
and print off the information that you require.
The package of book and CD ROM has you totally covered.
Should you want to know more about what is in the book and what the options are going to
cost, read on to page 2 of this Update and all will be revealed?
