Two matters
1) what size in Megabytes does the 3000 entries attain before you have the problem. Often it is the file size limit that causes the issue not the number of enteries.
associated with this is the operating system you are using - what system are you based on .

2) Ezyboard is OK and very robust but it comes up very poorly in surveys as to user satisfaction. ie people hate the functionality of it
