I think that the aircraft showed three greens when it landed, so there normally would be no cause for concern. For all they knew, the gear was safely down and locked.
Also, unless the grass is approved for takeoffs and landings, I wouldn't try it. It could be muddy (lots of rain in Seattle) and most airports in the US have drainage ditches, signs, electrical boxes, etc. next to the runway.
