Can't agree more. It seems crazy now that such important resources were often burnt or thrown out when production ceased.
I was hoping for some time that the Lanc engineering drawings sent to Victory Aircraft during the war survived but nobody seems to have any leads.
The microfilming techniques used in those days weren't really up to the job - especially on the larger drawings. Shame the originals are long gone.
