Guys - I can't believe that the fate of the former P-51D MM.4292, then G-BMBA has eluded the WIX elite. So, at the risk of boring you by repeating myself, I am reposting the facts as I know them.
The hunt is on!

A question was posted on the Italian vintage forum at www.gavs.it regarding the fateof P-51D MM.4292, long derelict at Capannelle near Ciampino airport. It travelled to the UK via Robs Lamplough, was displayed by Paul Raymond in his London Theatre of War, was registered to Aces High as G-BMBA amd went across the pond in 1987. It is listed on rebuild at Daytona Beach with or for Cougar Helicopters in the first edition of the Warbirds Worldwide directory. I have a memory of it being with the Whittingtons at some point (or maybe they traded as Cougar?).
But the long and short of it is - does anyone know what happened to it after 1987?
