I have to say six B-17s at Geneseo 1988 was one of the best mass formations I have seen. Mixed in with Waldon Spiller's P-51A, several P-51Ds, Dill Anderson's P-40 and a few T-28s if I remember right.
If you want to talk about having shivers down your spine I have to say seeing the CWH Lanc take-off for the first time was very emotional and moving. A day I will never forget.
