It seems to me that the general concensus towards favoring a second seat more often than not depends from what side of the cockpit glass you're enjoying the warbird experience from. I'm personally more of a purist when it comes to the authenticity of a warbird's image in the skies. On the other hand, if I were piloting a Corsair I couldn't imagine not having the ability to take another person along for the ride.
