Still enjoying my vacation, which included a quick stop at the Toronto Aerospace Museum last Friday. Nothing much new to report since I was there last time (1998). However it looks like work is slowly progressing on the Lancaster. There is much work to be done (the guy at the desk estimates 10-12 years). It appears that corosion is advanced in the aft fuselage sections (according to my untrained eye), but otherwise it is in good shape. This was the Lanc that spent many years at the Toronto water front.
I took pictures, so I will post soon. Got an Epson scanner for Christmas so I will try posting them on the Epson website. Viewing details to follow in a week or so.
Also... If you are looking to complete your collection of Flypast, Air Classics, etc. magazines you might want to stop by the museum. They have many back issues (way back like up to 1970s) for sale. I picked up a few.
Regards,
Mike
