Karen, the 111th TRG (TFG now) is based in Ellington Field, South of Houston. The group has operated there for a very long time, now being an Air National Guard Unit (Hat in the Ring emblem) flying F-16s. I have seen in one of our reunions at the West Houston Squadron, CAF, a book with the history of the 111th, including many shots of their service in North Africa and Europe, as well as in Korea. One of our Squadron members, recently deceased, John Dazio, allowed me to peruse the pages of his copy, and it had many pictures of people and aircraft that you might possibly be interested in checking out.

I don't know where you may get a copy of the book, but for sure the USAF through their historical division should be able to help you.
