Hello there Mick me old mucker :-) I'd say that what with most of the RAF machines either being sent to Russia or North Africa very few remained in the UK and any that did were very thin on the ground. The USAF didn't use a huge amount of them and didn't use them for such a long period as other marks, there were a few squadrons of them operating in the states and more stationed on Hawaii but still there maybe a pic out there somewhere of one or more waiting for the smelter. Did any operate in your neck of the woods? as I can't recall ever reading of any such operations. It might be possible that the USAF machines were upgraded to the later models as it happened with spits and Hurris so I can't see why it wouldn't with a P-40B/C. I like the Tomahawk and still crave to see one fly, come on mate pull your finger out and get one in the air ;)
Tom ;)
