Changed my mind... P2V-5 or earlier is the clear choice

I now agree with all those whom said it was a Neptune. The earlier models had a door exactly where the door appears, the same cockpit window profile, as well as the two squared-off windows just to the rear of the aircraft. It really didn't seem possible to me at first, as the airframe seemed so squared off, but there is only one clear choice here, and the Neptune matches all of the details on closer inspection.

... the only question is, which Neptune is it, and what happened to make it look so depressingly neglected. Someone had earlier suggested that it was on a fire dump. Guess that could be true, but are there any clear answers as to id. and operator?

Cheers,
Richard

PS. Check out the Neptune organization, it's a pretty detailed site.
