Bit of a trick question here as AK915 is not directly listed in Griffins book. So....over to the Air-Britain publication of RAF aircraft AA100 to AZ999 revealed AK915 ( a Kittyhawk I) came to the RCAF as 1055. In Griffins book it states the following:

Curtiss Kittyhawk I, 1055, T.O.S. 2/2/42, S.O.S. 27/8/42, previously AK915, Dived into sea 9/7/42.

The records are indeed available for this aircraft from the National Aviation Museum at Rockcliffe. You will have to request it by the RCAF number and they should be able to supply a copy.
As an interesting side note, these original aircraft record cards had for yeard been the property and protection of our National Archives. They scanned all of them onto disc and were about to throw the originals away (yes...you are reading this correctly) when the N.A.M. people promptly swooped in to save them! It's hard to believe that in this 'enlightened' era, things like this stil go on.
In the book "They Shall Grow Not Old" from the Brandon boys, it states the following about S/L Chevrier:

Chevrier, Joseph, Armond, Jacques S/L(P) C856 from St.Lambert, Quebec. Killed in action, July 6, 1942, age 25. #130 Panther Squadron. S/L Chevrier was flying Kittyhawk aircraft #AK915 on an anti-sub patrol when he ran out of fuel. He was killed when his aircraft crashed 1 1/2 mile offshore of St.Anne-des-Montes, Quebec. This was one of 4 Kittyhawk aircraft sent on an anti-sub patrol after a frieghter had been sunk 10 miles offshore of St.Anne-des-Montes. Squadron Leader Pilot Chevrier has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the Ottawa War Memorial, Ottawa, Ontario.

Hope this information helps!
