I was having a similar discussion with Chuck Gardner yesterday. I would love to see a Ju 88 fly. For arguments sake, would it matter if it was an authentic reproduction or a new build aircraft that used modern building techniques but had the dimensions, performance and sound of a Ju 88? Or even a authentic rebuild with modern avionics. My point is that I want to see one fly and hear it roar overhead. The fact that the structure is compoiste rather than aluminum is less important to me for a new build aircraft than the impression it makes when it flies.
