It appears to be the F6F-5 (BuNo 66237) that was dragged off the bottom of the ocean near San Diego in 1970 by the USN. It was later stored at the Pima Air Museum at Tucson. (This all according to my dog-earred Warbirds Directory). I saw the airplane there, in much the same condition and view, in November 1982, where the subject photo was apparently also taken. Last reported under restoration by Roy Stafford at Jacksonville, Florida. I'm sure the Hellcat experts can fill in the rest.
