This corsair "center Section" is actually just the main spar. It is from one of the Royal Navy corsairs which was recovered from off the coast of Australia in the late '90's. The guy whom is the interface for this spar claims that this is not the case, and that it has never been hung on an airframe, but I have a detailed set of photos which were sent to me years ago by the original recovery team, and the corrosion and paint patterns tally exactly. I don't think he was deliberately trying to mis-inform me, I just don't think he had all of the facts at his disposal. They want $48,000 for it, which, in my opinion, is a decent price for an airworthy spar, but this one needs a lot of work, if it is even indeed possible to restore to airworthy specs. Anyway, hope this helps.
Cheers,
Richard
