this plane in no way is a "half way restoration" job. Its a cutaway to show visitors just how the plane is constructed and to show everyone how the interior looks. Just above it hangs a "complete" PBY. When I was at the NMNA I was very impressed with all the planes they had on display even the ones that are made to look like they did in the Pacific theater.
