Another sad Hawker airframe story...

Having read the thread lower down the page regarding a Hawker airframe abandoned in the '80s, I thought I'd go searching for a pic I've had for many years.
These are Hurricane centre sections being raided for odd souvenirs before they were scrapped in about 1970 something.
They had been rescued from a well known Blackpool scrapyard by the Northern Aircraft Preservation Society some time previously and were, I believe, on offer to any Preservation Society which felt it could handle them.
In the event and for whatever reason, there were no takers and the host who had offered temporary storage on his land, ran out of patience with an inevitable consequence.
Thirty years on, I would imagine that specimens like this would fetch a fairly high price if offered for sale ex-Russia.
I've blurred the features of the character facing the camera not to spare him embarassment but simply because I haven't sought his permission to post the pic!
Are there any other poignant photos members might like to share with us?
