p-38 drop tanks

did the p-38 carry only 300 us gal. drop tanks, were they mounted on regular stores shackles inboard of the engines? Were all drop tanks solid or did some come in seperate halves? Was a tank that came apart used for things other than fuel, like leaflets, incindiary clusters or personal storage? Any idea what a good condition set of these might be worth?
