Gulf of Mexico (?) P-47D Recovery

My haddled brain seems to recall something on Barnstormers going back a few years detailing the recovery of a former Brazilian AF P-47D from, I think, the Gulf of Mexico. Seemed to result in a fairly complete, albeit rappidly deteriorating forward fuselsge.
Anyone know where this went?
