Cavanaugh Corsair

Yesterday afternoon, while visiting the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, I had the pleasure of watching the Cavanaugh's F-4U start up engine, and take off; it made a pass over the airport, then headed North. Shortly afterwards, a T-6 also took off. Both airplanes belonging to the Cavanaugh museum; I was told they were on a ferry flight back home.
The T-6 was pristine! Polished aluminum, red cowling, really nice.
Also saw the Spitfire, and the fuselage of another Spit.
The work on the Privateer continues; tail turret and side blister/gun positions are in place, and they look great. Two old gentlemen were working on engine #1, it was funny to hear their exchanges! They were surely having a great time doing it.
Saludos!
