Peter,
You know me, if it's Halifax related you can expect me to respond.
Last time I saw her was in May of this year, and as far as I could see, the corrosion is minimal. The red colour is not rust but some sort of preservative and they haven't been saving on it but slapped it on everywhere. The yellow colour is the original aluminium skinning which looked perfectly fine by me (but I am not a restoration expert). The battered look is more because of the paint having peeled away here and there giving it a very rough appearance. Underneath this the skin is in relatively good condition, I would even dare to say it's in better condition than NA337.
I would expect that in some difficult to reach joints and innards there could be corrosion but there are no heaps of blue dust around the airframe. I only wonder what they did to the undercarriage. If you look at the photo's shown on Ian Fosters website the tyres were still inside the wheel wells when the airframe was on dry land.
So, with the same attention the crew at Trenton is giving to NA337, this one could be as easily restored and taking pride of place next to the Lancaster.
Cheers
Cees
