Hello Richard,

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I appreciate your response. I guess I am one of those "I.D. freaks", as I do really enjoy being able to "put a face to the name" so to speak (even if they are only "data plate restorations").

I saw the other P-38 cupola inside being worked on this spring when I was down in Kissimmee, and I would love to know what I.D. that one will have assigned to it also. I wonder if this is the wreckage from Alaska? Maybe they are using all of the parts just to restore 44-53242/N54796. Who knows?
