I finally saw this commercial, it's quite amusing. As for how its done. With digital compositing (combining one or more video elements into a single frame or sequence of frames) it wouldn't be very difficult. I've done it before for a commercial and a music video, though in those cases it was a paper towel roll dressed as a cowboy and a dancing robot monkey.... don't ask.)
