I agree Paul. I think the political ramifications of a memorial site are negligable in this day of instant information and are really a secondary issue to the emotional one. With some people feeling that the memorial page would be morbid or depressing I would like to point out that there are few memorials that aren't. With a memorial we are basically pointing out that someone died, for what ever reason. That is basically depressing since I am damn sure that we would all rather have these air crews back rather than have this discussion.

With that said I can see the points that people are making and that I could in essence do what I want regardless. But I realize this is beyond one man to decide and while I am in effect the unelected Mayor of this community it is a community and I will submit to whatever the community decides. So if you have strong feelings on this subject then vote now. There will be no appeals, the decision of the community will be final.
