Hi Dan,
To touch on the AU-1 that Rob was talking about I talked with the Cultural Attache for Veitnam and she told me that their is a report of Two French Corsairs in Country. I'm i the process of doing a book on Corsair Ops. with other nations I have the list of the Four Corsairs that the French lost and I'm trying to match up the general Locations. Also I have friends of mine who have taken photos of a number of Corsair crash sites off Korea as you know the Marines flew AU-1s from land bases along with a number of reserve Sq. off Carrier.
I've ask them for some copys of these photos so I can try to match up bur.# Stay tune.
