There are a few interesting articles in the Dec 2002 issue of Aircraft Illustrated

Firstly:

Shackleton.. Air Atlantic hope to get the Shackleton over from thye USA for the 2003 Air show season if they can convince the CAA....

RIAT 2003 (actually Defence 2003). This will be a celebration of 100 years of flight and amongst other things they want 11 themed 'airfields' 1 for each decade.. They are talking Wright Flyer (which copy?), TSR2 (from Cosford?), Lightning, Javelin in the dtatic display.. And 1 for future: i.e F/A 22. Also want to build a Forward Deployment Base on Fairford and have a full build up to an invasion (over 14 hours each day!) including battle (if they can convince a local farmer to lend them the land)
