Correction and Apology....

Guys I totally stated that thread wrong and I do apologize. I no doubt agree that the loss of Mr.Tobul was tragic. As soon as I saw the thread "Fatal Corsair Crash" my heart dropped. I was immediately pissed because we lost another machine but I was really worried about who was in the beast.
I've personally been connected with one warbird crash, not fatal for the people but the airframe is now dead and her 100+ combat missions are now lost along with the entire airframe history. I was 9 when she crashed and have never had a connection for another airplane like that. Everytime I hear that whistle from those 2 R-2800s I can't stand it. I still get a huge smile on my face but that lump always and I mean ALWAYS shows up.
I guess what I meant to say when I started this was the loss of the airframe not the person. Either way it still was a bad thread. As I said I do apologize.
