Its pronounced " Beux " as in Faux or Foxe, and is generally used in a singular fashion. Multiple Beaufighters are called "DeuxBeux" or "duobois" if planespotting in Calaix. German radio communique traffic intercepted by MI6 never did get this quite right. This was pointed out with great levity to the Allied Supreme leaders as while there technology was good, the Germans, like their Allies the Japanese, were poor linguists, and thus would never win. This did not explain the American issue however.
