Hello lads, she is undergoing a full rebuild which entails dismantling EVERYTHING and renewing any unsuitable material then re-assembling using the correct spec hardware to CAA regs, who also check up on the progress on a regular basis for those who would like to know what they get up to. We hope to finish the wing early next year, all going well, though there is a lot of re-skinning to do, only 1 skin was salvageable as this wing was made in 1939 and was much rougher than the MKII wing for the port side. WE are still unsure as to what to finish her as, we do have a D/H bracket type prop but the costs of running this type of prop are infinitely higher than the cost of running a 3 blader Rotol. If we do use the Rotol we could finish her as a MKII or a MKV, we do have a pointed Rotol spinner for this type of prop, but then this is all in the future, a decision will be made but as of yet we still have to make a start on the fuselage and that will take a while to restore. WEll I'd better be off, it's been a lonnnnnnnng day de-riveting Tempest tailplane skins and I'm seeing lines of the little buggers right now.

Tom ;)
