For anyone that is interested, here is what I have on this airframe...

C/N: 22595
Owner: Smithsonian, National Air and Space Museum
History: C-46F-1-CU 44-78772 USAAF TOS (1943/9/26), storage (1946/2/12 to 1946/4), SOS (1950/1/10), N67996 (1951/4/26), N614Z (1960), CF-ZQX, N800FA, involved in an accident (1975/5/17), repaired, seized by US marshals for alleged gun smuggling (1988), to Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, loaned National Warplane Museum, loaned Curtiss Museum (circa 2001)
Notes: When photographed this C-46 was on loan to the National Warplane Museum.
