Israeli Mustangs.

01 ; Possibly 44-72228, Natural metal(I think), the first Israeli P51, "recently found", pictured in Flypast a few months back.

08 ; Might be a P51K, as it has an Aeroproducts prop. Silver painted with black anti-glare panel, dodgy canopy and rudder, marked as "53".

38 ; Blue and sand camo and yellow and black stripes.

39 ; Natural metal, red spinner, bent prop, under restoration in a shed.

?? ; Danny K P51 photo, Possibly a "new" fifth P51, but also might just be 01 ?....Hopefully the former !

I know of no others, but I would be glad to hear that there are some !

Check out the photos of 08, 38 and 39 at Mustangs Mustangs.....especially 39, cos it looks like they have used a disc grinder on the skin !

Israeli Spitfires.

26 ; TE578, The last production MkIX, green/grey camo, red spinner, red/white striped rudder, marked as 26 but also said to be "38", restored and identified as TE578 2/3 years ago.

57 ; TE554, The Black One, still (?) airworthy.

78 ; EN145, Silver painted, black anti-glare panel, yellow spinner, yellow/black striped rudder, marked as 78, restored and identified as EN145 5/6 years ago.

No others known of.....but always willing to be proved wrong on such matters !

Is it known when the photos in Warbirds International were taken ?
