In reply top Big Screen Spitfires posted by SteveHatton on Sun Nov 04, 2001 10:14:56 AM
I posted the trailers for these back in September, but some effective use of models etc, and BOB outtakes. Did they really crash land a Spit for this? Only 2 flying Spitfires were used , Robs Lamplough was in MkVIIIc MV154, Nigel Lamb was flying Vb BM597, which is the Spit in the train attack sequence (How close were u Nigel?)
Sumptious photography in the "Merchant Ivory" style, with enough love interest to stop the Blonde getting bored, and Tara Fitzgerald is the love interest, so that and Spits will do the same for me:0)
Ok, website is all in Czech (Pooh) but, loads of bits to look at, including what appears to be the database, for all Czech air force members 39-45.
Trailer here .... http://tms2.wo.cz/film/video/trailer.mpg
(12.5mB) so u 56k'ers be warned.

Both clips are in Mplayer format, no Mac d/loads.
Teaser here, not much, just a comic exchange in Czech between 2 pilots, but the flypast the White cliffs brings a lump to your throat, and you will find urself humming "Jerusalem" if ur a Brit, or an American who deeply regrets your forefathers rebelling against the motherland - lol. But you can see for yourselves as the film gets released 28/12 in LA and NY, as Sony have just picked up the distribution rights. http://www.sonyclassics.com/darkblueworld/

This is a very very good and informative website, unofficial, but in English, very recommended viewing
I'd like to do a website for the English version, just have to wait for the DVD I guess
