Any F9F Cougar fans out there?

Here is a pic I shot this afternoon of a Grumman F9F-8P Cougar which is located on a farm not too far from my home. The external condition of the airplane is very good but I have no idea what it looks like internally. I've been told it is fairly complete as far as the cockpit goes and the ownner has the engine stored on his property also. It was recently repainted and the original markings are no longer visible so I can't identify the airplane beyond the type. There are several dilapidated buildings on the property which are crammed full of airplane stuff. I was given a whirlwind tour some years back but did not get a chance to "inventory" all that I saw. I do remember several Stearman or N3N fuselages but don't recall if the wings were stored about or not. There were also many opposed four cylinder aircraft engines brand new in their crates. Not sure if they were Continentals or Lycomings. There was also a hand full of two row radials but, again, I'm not sure of the type. Could be R-2800s as the owner also has an A-26 Invader slowly rotting away at a small airport west of Phoenix. Several years ago there was a flurry of activity to clean up the Cougar which was said to have been sold to somebody in Washington State, if I recall. Evidently that fell through so maybe they found something internal that scared 'em off! Interesting none the less. Regards, Chad Veich.
