Spent yesterday evening trying to find which Halifax it could be. According to the website the Hally was based at Elsham Wolds. This can only be 103 squadron, or a OTU that was based there as well. But this squadron operated the Halifax for only a short period before converting onto the Lancaster. I checeked every 103 squadron crash but couldn't find one that fits. There is one candidate which crashed in Germany but there are still some missing persons.
