Info needed, trimming wheel

Hi all,

A question about the trimming wheels used in later British aircraft such as Lancaster, Halifax and Beaufighter.

To the right op the pilot was a large trimming wheel on a pedestal. It looks like it is moulded or made of some sort of paper resin material of which the color is black/brown.

Does anyone of you know more about how these wheels were made, as well as any leads where I can find one for my project?
