This is terrible. I would have really liked to have been able to meet him. He seemed like a very very interesting man and Band of Brothers in print and on screen was absolutely outstanding. When he was on Letterman last it sounded to me as if Spielberg was doing a movie on Iwo Jima. Hopefully, based on the six flag raisers.
This is a terrible loss to the WW2 historical world and he will be missed.
