The YAM's example is standing on wartime slick tyres (ex Lancaster I believe). When it is being moved around, threaded tyres will be fitted.

After assembly in 1996, a few hours after Friday stood on the slick tyres, one of them burst under the strain and was filled with expanding rubber. Must have given the crew a real heartattack after so many years of hard work.

As far as I know NA337 will be fitted with ex-Lancaster tyres of the slick type.

Fantastic photo's again, can't wait to see her in one piece.

Cees
