A complete Ju 87 recovered and scrapped near Gdansk , a Mosquito raised in one of the Baltic Sea harbours ... towed further out and sunk again .. all in the eighties . Luckily the 109 was found after the end of Communist rule !
The Me210 in that same lake has been recovered , but consisted only of the engines and parts . An engine from a 109G-14 has been recovered from an airframe in a bog... I believe the rest of the airframe is still there and the engine sold . I have a heap of photos of the B-17 wing , contact me off board if you want some .
As Tony says.. a great potential in Poland and more people are getting involved , not only with aircraft , but AFVs .. another halftrack just pulled from the Pillica River.
