RM873 was formally in a childrens play area in the small township of Sawankalok in central Thailand. The wings 'disappeared' to Australia for RR232, subsequently not pleasing the Thai Warbird hierarchy who came quite late to the movement. The engine fuselage and tail fin group were transferred to the Thai Air Force Museum store workshop and yielded some parts and patterns for both the static restoration of PS836 by Thai Airways engineering and the static restoration of PM630 at Bangsue by the military. Current news and location of these two would be appreciated.
I suspect that Lance Corke was either misquoted or was being a little opportunist re the ownership of RM873 considering the furore over the wings.
